Well done to Claire Leahy, Siofra Langan and Rachel Rouse who won silver medals in the Young Economist of the Year (YEOTY) National Competition 2016. The students submitted an economics project entitled "The Economic Problem of Obesity in Ireland".
The class enjoyed a very interesting economics lecture entitled "How economics can be used to fight global poverty" by Prof. Carol Newman, Department of Economics, Trinity College Dublin.
