For the past couple of years Saint Mary’s has entered the Connacht Swimming Gala. Last year the Gala was held in Longford where our girls competed at Junior, Intermediate and Senior grades in both individual and relay events.
Current student Amy McGowan won gold and bronze and also qualified as a member of the Connacht team to take part in the All Ireland inter provincial schools’ gala which took place in Dublin in May.
