St. Mary's Secondary School, Ballina

Board of Management

A Board of Management is elected every three years for St. Mary’s Secondary school. The Trustees of the school – CEIST nominate four representatives with the Chairperson coming from this quartet. Teachers nominate two representatives. The remaining two members are elected after a ballot of the parents of students in the school. The Principal of the school acts as Secretary to the Board. Meetings take place as required – usually about once per term. Full training is provided for members of the Board who all act in a voluntary capacity and without remuneration. St. Mary's Secondary School hope to join in the fun and is encouraging as many of our students and staff as possible to take part. Over the next week, girls wishing to take part will be provided with 8 week training plans to prepare them for the day.
