St Mary’s Secondary school choir is an integral part of school life and is well known in the locality for its high standard of singing. They sing at all school liturgies, school recognition days and on other occasions where dignitaries such as An Taoiseach Enda Kenny, Mary Robinson and Mary McAlesse have visited the school. The choir also sing at the annual School Christmas Concert. They are also involved in the wider life of the parish and sometimes sing at funerals and weddings of those connected with the school. They have sung with St Muredach’s Cathedral choir and other prominent performers at fundraising concerts in the community.

The choir produced several video recordings in the last few years. 'Mayo Abú' was released to celebrate the Mayo Senior Ladies Gaelic football team reaching the All Ireland Final and the choir also released a Christmas video in collaboration with the band 'Billow Wood'. Both videos received thousands of views nationwide.

In 2018, the choir produced and award winning video recording of the song ‘Orphan Girl’ in conjunction with the unveiling of a memorial in Ballina to honour the Mayo famine orphan girls who were sent to Australia. The video recording went viral on social media reaching well over 100,000 views with comments from across the world. Click on the links below to view this videos!
