"We are Future Racing, the first all-female team to represent Ireland in the International F1 in schools World Final from Ballina, County Mayo.

Due to our successful performance in the National Final, in which we won the knockout racing competition and came second overall, we have been offered a place at the world finals this July which will take place at Silverstone in the UK. We are delighted with this achievement and are elated with succeeding in what we set out to do by being the first all female Irish team to qualify for the world finals.

We have reset our sights and now want to take on the challenge of the world finals and show that we can compete with the best teams in the world. To be able to do this we need to raise funds to support the redevelopment of the car as well as the building of two cars to race at the finals. We will also need finances for the development and building of a pit display.

Including fees to enter the competition and for travel our goal is to raise €10k"
